Electrical Stimulation Therapy
Interferential Current Therapy relieves pain and accelerates self-healing using deep electrical stimulation. Electrodes placed on the skin around the injury transmit minute electrical impulses, stimulating underlying tissue and nerves to promote healing. These impulses are painless, feeling like a minor prickle on the skin.
Microcurrent Therapy is a form of treatment used for patients with soft tissue injuries and chronic pain. Similar to electrical stimulation therapy, electrodes are placed on the skin over the affected tissue. Unlike electrical muscle stimulation, the microcurrents are very small, so you do not feel anything while the treatment is in progress.
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is a treatment method being used to reduce pain, swelling, and recovery time. This increasingly popular treatment works well for soft tissue injuries, muscle spasms, and even for athletes who want quicker recovery from workouts.
Burn Scar Massage
Combined with traditional medical treatment, burn scar massage therapy effectively controls scar tissue development and speeds up healing. Paired with stretching, it can make scars looser, more comfortable, and improve range of motion. Burn scars can take months to fully develop, leading to loss of mobility. Burn scar massage therapy promotes skin rejuvenation, keeping skin soft and supple, and aiding in daily function. Once the burn scar is stable, doctors often recommend daily massage therapy during the healing period, using gentle strokes, pressure, moisturizers, and heat to achieve more flexible skin, less pain and itching, and less noticeable scarring.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage involves intense muscle manipulation, similar to Swedish massage but with deeper pressure to release chronic muscle tension. It targets specific areas, such as those affected by whiplash or falls, and treats chronic pain, fibromyalgia, injured muscles, limited mobility, postural problems, sciatica, and osteoarthritis. A trained therapist customizes the massage to address the client’s specific needs, breaking down muscle adhesions and relieving pain. Some discomfort during and after the massage is normal, and ice application may be recommended for tender spots.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage provides a comforting, gentle experience with benefits similar to deep tissue work. Heated basalt stones relax tense muscles, enabling deep muscle manipulation without discomfort. Placed on key body areas, these stones increase circulation, relieve stress, and alleviate symptoms of depression, insomnia, and arthritis, making it a popular choice.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage alleviates pregnancy discomforts, providing physical and emotional relief, but should be avoided in high-risk pregnancies without medical consultation.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage eases stress and tension, providing psychological benefits through gentle kneading, a soothing ambiance, and customizable pressure. It focuses on the neck, shoulders, back, legs, and feet, often incorporating fragrant oils for a holistic experience, leaving clients relaxed and recharged.
Sports Massage
Originally for athletes, sports massage now treats sports-related injuries and enhances performance. It targets trouble spots, offering pre-event, post-event, restorative, and rehabilitative variations to boost circulation, ease soreness, maintain peak performance, and speed recovery, making it ideal for active individuals.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage balances therapy and relaxation, ideal for beginners. It uses gentle pressure and various strokes to soothe sore muscles and loosen joints. This massage increases oxygen levels, decreases muscle toxins, and improves circulation and flexibility, promoting deep relaxation and easing tension.
Thai Massage
Thai massage, known for its energizing and restorative effects, involves assisted stretches to deepen muscle relaxation. Performed on a mat with the client fully dressed, it uses hands, knees, and feet for deep muscle soothing, increasing flexibility, circulation, and overall well-being.
Semaglutide for Weight Loss
Semaglutide is a medication originally developed for type 2 diabetes but has been found to be effective for weight loss too. It works with your body’s natural hormones to help you feel fuller for longer by slowing down how quickly your stomach empties. This means you’ll likely eat less without feeling hungry all the time. Taken as a once-weekly injection, semaglutide can lead to significant weight loss when combined with a healthier diet and regular exercise. It’s important to use it under a healthcare provider’s supervision to monitor for any side effects and ensure it’s the right fit for you.
